Word of Encouragement

…For in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9

As veteran Homeschool parents, we know that its easy in the midst of the fray to ask the question, “is this really worth it?” or “am I really making a difference in the life of my child?” Undoubtedly, yes! Not only in their life but quite possibly in the lives of millions more. As the saying goes, “Any fool can count the seeds in an apple. Only God can count all the apples in one seed.” As your friends in Homeschooling, we would like to offer this word of encouragement.

There is a battle being waged for the hearts and minds of this generation. As Homeschool parents, we are on the front lines of this battle. We feel it every day. We are attacked with doubt, fear, and discouragement. But be assured that our children are children of purpose, created for a time such as this…God's own handiwork.

Anytime Satan was threatened by an upcoming generation, he sought to abolish it. Think of the children Pharaoh murdered, yet Moses survived and led the children of Israel from captivity. Think of the children Harod murdered, yet Jesus survived and led us all from captivity. Then think of the unborn children our country has murdered. Think of how humanistic educational philosophy seeks to kill, steal, and destroy our children's faith in their Creator. One can't help but wonder why Satan is so threatened by this generation. Why is he working so hard at this time in history to destroy this generation physically and spiritually? Then I think of the Homeschool movement and I praise the Lord that He has set aside for Himself a remnant.

“…I have kept for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal!

So too at the present time there is a remnant (a small believing minority), selected (chosen) by grace (by God's unmerited favor and graciousness).” Romans 11:4-5 Amplified.

We are often tempted to bow the knee to “Baals” of our society and its educational philosophies; Baals of sports, Baals of socialization, Baals of academics. But I encourage you to stand firm in your calling. Stand firm in raising up this Godly remnant. Though the way may be rough at times now, we will see our children rise up and bless the name of the Lord.

Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the Name that is above all names, Your son, Jesus on behalf of my fellow Homeschool parents. We pray that You would strengthen us and encourage us in our callings. Revive us and renew our vision again. Reveal to us Your will and give us the wisdom and the courage to accomplish it. We pray for our children. Protect and keep them. Allow no weapon formed against them to prosper. As you did for Daniel and his friends, I pray You give our children knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom (Dan 1:17) that they may serve, honor, and obey You. May the name of the Lord be exalted forever and ever. Amen!

May God continue to bless you in your Homeschooling endeavors,

Your Friends at PennywiseLearning.com
